This is the homepage of Hyoun-A Joo.
I am an assistant professor of German and Linguistics in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Furman University in Greenville SC. Before joining Furman, I was a postdoctoral teaching fellow at Georgia Tech after receiving my Ph.D. in German Applied Linguistics and Language Science from The Pennsylvania State University in August 2018.
My fields of interest are second language acquisition of adults, German syntax, syntactic theory, heritage languages in the U.S. (German and Korean), language in the context of migration, global citizenship, and German for the profession.
